CRAFTSMANSHIP

Effy uses what is known as the lost-wax process to create each piece. Artists create wax models of jewelry, and plaster is poured over them and put into a kiln overnight. The wax burns out to leave a hollow image, and gold is then poured in to cool and solidify. The gold is polished before gems are hand-set.

Once the jewelry is set, it goes through a final polish, wash and stain to ensure high shine, brilliance, and a lifetime of perfection.

Use a clean soft cloth to remove oils of perspiration.Gently clean with a soft brush dipped in warm water and mild detergent; rinse under running water.Don’t expose jewelry to lotions, cosmetics, hairspray, perfumes, chemicals or solvents.Remove jewelry when using household cleaning products or when in pools or hot tubs.Have your jewelry cleaned and checked by a professional for worn mountings, loose prongs, and general condition at least once/year.
